I'd say about 5 or 6 months ago. He's in some other band now... DJ something-or-other... Lemme get the link... hold on a few while I did through my AP discussion list archives... (verified... September 30th). The band that Rodney is with is DJ Ashba, linked at http://www.djashba.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl. Sad that this took place, as this band (DJ Ashba) doesn't look like it will get far... their BB is a free and heavily flawed board called YaBB (Yet Another Bulletin Board)... I ran it on my site for a while before going with a custom-build. I haven't been to the DJ site since he first went, but it looked to me like another egomaniac singer... there was a BIO link on the main page, and when you open it, all you get is the singer's bio... not even a mention of the rest of the band. The main image on the front page was, you guessed it... the singer. The downer was that they were 80% done their new album when he left... so they're starting from scratch last I heard... the only original members left are Kevin and Noah. Stevie is pretty cool though (met him at the last show they did in Detroit last year... pic is STILL on the AP Street Team page too)... Tristan (the new bassist) I have heard very little about, and have not had the chance to meet yet. But given the rest of the band, I'm betting he's another tattooed do0d from Cali with a liking for classic hotrods. ----- Original Message ----- From: To: "The New Improved Less Lame List" Sent: Wednesday, January 08, 2003 1:29 PM Subject: Re: [ Creed Discuss ] Whadda y'all think? > Man, where have I been? I think they're trying to figure out a diplomatic way to say that their most popular singer is a boozer in need of some rehab therapy, while at the same time not pissing off and loosing the entire fanbase. > > There isn't even a public apology about it on the website yet... so I think they're still trying to dispatch damage control to deal with all the press stories going around now. > > Personally, I think it's time Wind-Up started focusing on some of their better bands, anyway... Seether, 12 Stones, and try to get Rodney to come back to AP... it's obvious that Stappy is going to bring the entire band down at the rate he's going. Poor Mark, Flip and Brett... having to work twice as hard to pick up his slack.
